Description
Selling is an advertisement page for:Elgin Watch Company
from 1929
This ad has a drawing of 2 Elgin watches, a wristwatch (Elgin Legionnaire) and a pocket watch (B. W. Raymond). There is a photo of Navy Commander Edward Ellsberg, who raised the sunken submarine S-51, and a drawing of a deep-sea diver. The ad text starts “When minutes mean life itself, Elgin keeps the time…” and goes on about the dive to salvage the submarine and the accuracy of Elgin watches.
This ad is full page, approx. 7” x 10”, carefully removed from a magazine.
