This listing is of a historic 1954 One Florin coin of Australia, a Royal Visit commemorative. The event was the biggest in Australia's history. It was supposed to feature King George VI but die to his declining health Princess Elizabeth was to come instead. In the end, she arrived as Queen Elizabeth II. (George VI passed away in 1952.)The face value of this silver coin is equal to Two Shillings. It was struck at the Australian Royal Mint in Melbourne.
