    ID'd 1889 Pocket Watch by American Waltham Watch Co.
    This is a nice watch with a history.
    Made in Waltham, Massachusetts.
    The movement serial number is 3736437, Model 1883 with an estimated production date of October 1888-May 1889.
    Size is 18s, Jewels-7j.
    Open
    face movement, double sunk dial, beveled glass (chipped), gilt finish.
    All of the information on the watch came from the online Pocket Watch Database, and will be included with the watch.
    The watch winds and works.
    There is a hand painted ID, (Knights of Pythias) on the face of the watch, "Burnside, K of P 34.  S.W. Munro, Bristol R.I., 1902."
    In looking at a Civil War Database, Sylvester Munro is listed as enlisting as a Private in 1861, mustered into Co.G RI 2nd Infantry.  He deserted on 9/18/1862.
    Also included is the paperwork on Munro as well as information on 2nd RI Volunteers.
    In very good condition.  There is rubbing and wear to the finish, a chip in the glass, scuffing, heavy use, keeps time.
