Peggy Wood Richelieu Jewelry Advertising Card 1920s Sound of Music Young!

Antique and rare Richelieu jewelry advertising store window card featuring young stage and screen actress Peggy Wood.
This came from the estate of Erving Easton Jewelers in Bellingham, Washington state, and dates to the early 1920s.
The card measures 6”x9” and is made of medium card stock. It says “Richelieu” and “The Necklace she admires and desires”. In the lower corner is “Peggy Wood, Starring in “The Clinging Vine’”. She starred in the musical in 1922. She is sweetly beautiful in this advertisement, wearing a long strand of Richelieu pearls.
Margaret Wood began her stage career in 1910, singing in the musical Naughty Marietta. From these humble beginnings she would go on to become one of the grand dames of Broadway and London theater, with a career lasting six decades. She was an accomplished singer and actress but is most famously known today for her role of the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. A little-known fact is that she was also a member of the Algonquin Round Table during its heyday.
Condition of the ad is good. The image is nice with no scratches or bent areas. The back of the card has toning from age and dark scuffing. There is a ghost of where another piece of paper laid next to the card and left an outline.
