Description

For this auction we have 1 interesting specimen with an attachment scar! We have only found a couple of these! This oyster settled to the ocean floor appears to have an attachment scar.  Maybe grew up against something on the Cretaceous sea floor. They were unable to move around like most other bi valves. A personal find from the Johnson collection, not modified in any way. This was found in N.E. Texas, Ozan formation, Cretaceous era weighing approximately 1 pounds in great condition. This is an example of an extinct oyster that lived approximately 66 million years ago. This will make a great addition to your fossil collection or wonderful study piece. Please review photos carefully. I will be listing more fossils soon. I can combine shipping on items ending within 3 days of each other. Check out my other items. No returns. No international shipping. Thanks for looking.
