WATCHMAKER ADVERTISING SIGN - LONGINES WITTNAUER AUTOMATON RETAIL IDISPLAY 1940S

Rare Longines Wittnauer Watchmaker automaton shop display (advertising sign for retailers), 1940s  I am selling an extremely rare Longines Wittnauer Watchmaker shop display (advertising sign for retailers) made in the 1940s.  A watchmaker as a automaton, sitting at a watchmaker´s bench, moving head, upper body and arms like he is working on a watch. Behind him a sign saying "Authorized Agency Longines Wittnauer Watches". The watchmaker´s bench also has a sign, saying: "LET US CHECK YOUR WATCH - Authorized Agency for Sales and Service".
You could only find this kind of display in the very best watch stores in the Unites States in the 1940s.
Sign lights and comes with a new LED bulb.  The sign can run with a bulb installed or uninstalled if you do not want it lit.  Runs on 110 Volt / 60 Hertz.  Measures approximately: 21" high x 14.25" wide x 5.5" deep.  CONDITION:
Has s
ome white spots on the gold trim, right side, near the middle of the sign.  Looks to have had some restoration paint work to the watchmakers head.  The original smock the watchmaker wore is very soiled and frayed along the collar, so I had a new one made.  The original smock will be included with the sign. The plastic shield on the work bench is detached, but can easily be attached permanently with some clear silicone rubber that can be bought at any hardware store.  I will leave it unattached for shipping and the buyer can decide if he/she wishes to glue it down.  Laying lose on the workbench does no affect the operation of the sign, or how it looks.  Lastly, the power cord may have been replaced at some point.
For an 80 year old sign, it is in overall very good vintage condition.
Included in the listing is a video showing the sign in operation, and it is delightful to watch. However, I do not offer any guarantee on the operation of the sign once it ships due to its age.  Carefully view the video and all of the posted photographs using the zoom feature, so you may judge for yourself the condition, quality and age of the item.  I have only seen seen 4 of these signs sold in the last decade and the last one sold on eBay for 80 in 2018.  Sold as is no returns.  The amount charged for shipping is to cover packing (double boxed), insurance, and signature delivery.  I will cover the cost of postage.  Checkout  my many 5 star reviews on how well I package and ship an item.  Shipping listed is for the lower 48 states only.  All other locations will require postage to be paid by the buyer.
